You don't have to buy the fanciest ones. My chicks here are $10 each, 6 for $50, but if someone wants the pet quality, which are almost as beautiful, those are half the price. TSCs are pet quality, but you know how beautiful they are, and I thought they were the same price as all of the other chicks. I could be wrong though.Well he says they're expensive compared to othersand higher maintenance because of all of the fluff lol
$10 isn’t bad! Do they have trouble with dirty vent areas because they have so many feathers? You don't have to buy the fanciest ones. I don't even consider it maintenance to cut around some of their eyes a couple of times a year. Other than that, all I do is supplement vitamins because they can suffer from vitamin deficiencies.
No, in fact, the only one I ever had issues with was part cochin. She has since passed away now, but she had poopy butt her whole life. I was told probiotics would help, but they already got/get probiotics every other day in the fermented grain. Beats me what was wrong with her but she lived a full life.$10 isn’t bad! They are fun, I have some really sweet ones that don't mind the attention they get. They are so soft and adorable. They take a little extra care but it's not too bad, like Debbie said, some eye trims and vitamins here and thereLittle fluff butt!!! So cute! Well that’s good to know!
