How do I debeak pheasants? My hens beak is like an inch long!!

Why do you want to cut part of your birds beak off? If you cut too much, it won't even be able to eat properly. These birds have feelings in their beaks & I am 100% against it. I have NEVER had the need to debeak any of my pheasants, This is cruel IMO....
 
OP.. you should have an adult help you..
Also.. remember that its painful to cut off a birds beak. And they will also bleed a lot.
Trimming the beak is one thing...
but DE-BEAKING is something different... and it HURTS the birds a LOT.
 
You only cut it back to the bloodline.It will not bleed much if you do it right.It's no different then cutting your fingernail.

She looks fine to me. If they are pecking eachother you could sand it a bit, but still leave it pointed.
