There is a pretty good storm going on here the past couple days. Unfortunately, the temperature has been high enough during the day that the snow has been melting, and we have been getting rain. When I went to collect eggs, two of the bottom nest boxes were soaked! It has me concerned now because the third nest box in the row is where my hen is brooding! I didn't stick my hand in to test the bedding, but I think that one remained dry. I hole there is a break in the wind tomorrow, because that is egg candling day for me, and frigid winds will not help. Neither does the frozen pond our property has become. We put a piece of board over the door to the bottom row, and replaced bedding. I sure hope the eggs are okay!

I have 9 that where all good and went in too lockdown today is 22 and im getting very nervous. Cant see any rocking or hear or see any signs. Very nervous and sad. Really would love for some to hatch.

Ugh... The power went out for about 3 hrs. I pot the emu eggs in bed with me to keep them warm but they still feel cool. Power's back on but the incubator needs time to heat up again. I'll be really upset if I lost them.
