Hi hatching buddies!

I have 18 eggs in the Bunny bator right now and they are due to hatch the 18th!
I have silkies and cochins looking good right now.
On my first hatch in October only 2 hatched.

I had some problems with the bator last time with temperature fluctuations, but I think I've solved the problems.
I'm excited about these eggs.
Good luck everyone and I hope you have great hatches!
I also have 2 bunny does that will be kindling on the first week of January. One Jersey Wooly, and a Fuzzy Lop!
I am in heaven!

Well out of my 24 silkie eggs sent I had 4 busted when they arrived. Later when I candled at day 10, I chucked out all but 8 of the eggs. Five of those eggs I set in a seperate row by themselves as I was almost positive they were dead in the egg. I checked them tonight which is day 13 and they are moving!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had one sizzle egg I was questioning also and I am pretty sure it moved also! It would be awesome if all I have left for my early christmas hatch makes it! 8 sizzles and 8 silkies!

We were sent 23 quail eggs, which we set in the bator. 2 hatched yesterday, which was a couple days late. one died today, but the other is all sorts of energized. We'll see if we can keep this one alive, and if the four chicken eggs in the bator will hatch later this week like they are supposed to

Well, this isn't fair--it's Day 10 for my broody's eggs and I can't get to the coop to candle them. I usually candle at Day 9-10 with a broody, and just do it once. We have crunchy snow all over, no paths for me to walk, and since I broke my ankle badly two years ago in January, my DH won't let me go out there.

Best of luck to everyone with their winter hatches! It never gets old, does it?

So far i have 3 out and at least three more pipped (as i said the incubator window is tiny so i cant see very much) But i have one white silkie and two splash!
What makes it even funner is that my sisters roommate is staying the month with us until college starts again, and shes from Tokyo and has never seen newly hatched chicks! She asked that we name one after her, so we did. The first baby out is a white silkie named Rika!

This is a Porcelain D'Uccles, even though it has made its way over to the side of the 'bator where the Golden Penciled Hamburgs are situated. The GPH chick was not in a spot where I could get a good shot of it.

So far, just those 2 chicks...
