Decorating Help.... Two Different Quilts, Which Wall Color?

I think a ghost ate my post!! Or I've lost my mind - both seem very likely!

I tried to suggest a pale tan/grey mix, along the lines of this: http://www.colorcombos.com/combotester.html?color0=C2B8A7

I painted my former bedroom this color - it was so nice and soft and muted. The morning sun made it feel like a nice foggy day. It felt cool in the hot summer, and cozy in the "cold" California winter. The muted tone complimented all sorts of bedding changes (teal, pink, darker browns, greens, purples, blues, etc) (blankets are cheap at at Target - what can I say?) and looked stunning as a backdrop for fresh flowers and green plants.

I had the paint store mix it for me - they did a fantastic job.

You know, Alice, my second bedroom/office is painted a color similar to that, called Spanish Chestnut. I'll definitely consider that. Here it is:

If you go here and search for Glitzy Gold or Kingdom Gold, they are actual gold look, not yellow.

I know you said you like gold, rather than yellow. I prefer the yellow myself. I like bright sunshine and lightness. A pale yellow?

I am not sure my computer is showing true colors- they all look peachy to me.

If you want a gold, Cyn, try ICI's Tuscan Tan- I can mail you a chip if you want. It's warm and rich and yet still light, not too yellow, not too gold. It might be a good blend with the golds in those fantastic, gorgeous and boy do I wish they were mine quilts!!!

Beth, I'll have to check. The myperfectcolor site has several Tuscan Tan swatches from different paint lines, but none seem yellow or gold, more tan. These are all of those, but no ICI's in them. These two look peachy on my computer, LOL Would have to get actual swatches, really:

Here's Benjamin Moore Cream Yellow....what do you think of that? On my screen, it doesn't look really yellow, but more light gold.

I LOVE Benjamin Moore paint- great quality!! I think it's my computer, they still all look peachy. Let me send you a chip of the ICI -oh, there is an Eddie Bauer called Pecan that is similar, and gorgeous. They may be more golden tan than you want, but they remind me of the gold in the bottom quilt when you stacked the quilts on top of each other.

I'd go the opposite way with this or something like it.

maybe a little more to the pinky side, but then you have DH so I moved a smidge to the blue/lav side.

Of course, I may be a little biased... my bedroom has pink walls but tastefully pink...
