"Alright," he said, gradually slowing the horse into a walk, and diverting towards a little stream of water. Ekkehardt then allowed the stallion to lean his neck down to drink, reaching downwards to rub his sweaty neck.
Genevieve gently slid off of the stallion and landed on the ground with a light thud. She had seen some beautiful wildflowers a few feet away and immediately walked over to them. Genevieve plucked the pretty purple and yellow flowers out of the ground and grasped them in her hand. When she felt she had gathered enough, she pulled the satin ribbon from her hair and tied it around the stems of the flowers. Then, with quick strides, she walked back to Ekkehardt and hopped onto the horse. "I'm going to take these to Augustine." She said quietly, leafing through the flowers absentmindedly.
