S/he really is cute and they are totally addictive aren't they?

I'm particularly fond of blue based and partridge birds so I think yours is beautiful! Totally a bird you can work with.

Yes, the blue partridge has penciling that matches her gender

I have a somewhat similar pullet from Sarah, but her penciling isn't quite correct. I think I need to take some photos today.

. Why did I look at that pencilling and think I couldn't tell sex... Someone kick me gently...

Of course it's a girl. Only girls have a pencilled breast.

Duh... More proof I have not been sleeping... Forgive me - SHE is very cute.

LOL I'm sitting here not 50 feet from about 14 Partridge Rock hens. You'd think I'd have clued in a LOT sooner.

Sigh - some days I wonder where my brains went.

I don't look at them as much now... now that I know the line went awry and I have to start again. It makes me a bit sad.

So I have had several birds colored similar to Kellykate but they were silkie feathered or frilkie feathered. If they were pullets they would have pencilling on the breast? None of them have that I have noticed and all of them have been roo's. This is good to know as I like that color also and have to keep getting rid of them.
