Delaware Pullet Differences

I have 2 Deleware pullets and they both look very different. One has pitch black feathers around neck and tail. The other has the barred pattern on neck/tail. the barred coloring comes from the barred rock/NewHampshire red that's in a pure Deleware chicken. Also, there the same age although one is smaller. Does the other have more breeds in it or do the genetics just vary?

Yes.
But that's what I thought at first too. The hatcher (Meyer Hatchery) displayed them as looking like the darker one. Which I thought was odd.

They're both Delawares. But neither has very good pattern. They may change after their first molt.
