Delaware x Barred Rock Chicks--Indy, Rex and Ira's Progress Thread

Quote:
He is not Heterozygous B/b is is actually Homozygous Barred and thats why he has such clear distinctive Barring unlix Rex which is only Heterozygous for barring... here is his Genetic Make up, E/eWh S/S B/B Co/Co Basically a Pure Barred Rock, with the exception of eWh wheaten from her Delaware father.

This is Correct, He looks Pure Rock because the Only Difference between Quality Herritage Delaware and BR is Wheaten, eWh, Delawares get their Wheaten genes from their NH parent line, but they also have BR blood in them, so a Cross between a Herritage Delaware and a Herritage BR will give you more than just 1/2 BR, it will be Close to 75% and nearly Undistinguishable from its BR Parent,

Rex's mother is a BR, yes, same parents as Indy, as far as I know.
Here is Rex, pics just taken, and he is 17 weeks old now:

This is Ira, also same parents as Rex and Indy, I think. Ira is a few days younger than Rex. Sorry for the blur, he's a tad more skittish than the others.

Marvin, the only other choices for mothers are blue or black Plymouth Rocks, no others. I have mostly BRs in that flock with the Delaware rooster, that and BBS Rocks.
