Delawares, 7 Weeks Old...and CJ

Deb, you would love these babies. Tonight, we waited a bit longer to put them in their coop. When we went out there, all 12 babies in that coop were inside (still light out about 7:30) with my little keeper cockerel standing just outside the door at the top of the ramp, standing guard while waiting for someone to lock them in. He wanted to be petted, though, rather than go in to roost, LOL. They are so friendly, you just would be thrilled. If I continue to like them as he matures, I will most likely get more eggs in the spring or when I get a broody hen.

I knew these good breeder quality ones would suprise you as much as it seprized me when you said you had a bad experiance with them I am afraid one of mine may be egg eating !!! but they sure are sweet and funny girls

they are beautiful and I have not been around the roosters so I don't know if I could do it:| It was easy with those very un chicken like cornishX's because they were so ugly !

Speckled,
I've been trying to id this chickie. I have several that came with an order from Cackle. All of them have been extremely out going and friendly almost to the point of being annoying! They will jump right on my arm for a little ride out of the brooder and then come running to me when they're out on the floor. I'm thinking they may be deleware cockerels. What do you think?
Here's Happy.

Sadly, he doesn't pose well and I'm not a great photographer! He has bright yellow legs right now and was a yellow chick.

TIA!
