Depluming mites

I believe my chickens have depluming mites after lots of googling. I've read that sulfur powder baths will cure them. Is this an effective for of treatment? Will that alone take care of the mites?

I’ve never used sulfur powder before, I’ve had previous success using permethrin powder or spray.

Went to vet and she said my chickens didn’t have mites but were molting
