Can you go get some cottage cheese?

@dawg53

Okay. Just searched it. It's an old Amish cure for diarrhea in animals. But since coccidia parasites thrive on thiamine, and cottage cheese is rich in that B vitamin, it seems cottage cheese would only make the coccidia thrive even more.

However, if Corid cannot be obtained, trying it won't hurt. But first thing in the morning, I highly recommend you get some Corid. Once you begin Corid, you must stop the cottage cheese or else the Corid will not be effective.

Oddly enough she just started acting the best she has all day. I walked away and she quickly following me and then I gave her a little food and she ate all of it and is acting perfectly fine now... I'm still going to go get some corid tomorrow though just to be safe.

Well actually, I'm a big fan of buttermilk. Buttermilk (or any kind of milk really) will slow the effects of cocci infection by coating intestinal lining, slowing the damage caused by the cocci. It's a temporary "fix" until Corid can be given. Buttermilk is a much better probiotic than yogurt.

@Faux I used to live in southeast Georgia, Camden county just south of Kingsland for almost 35 years until I moved to Jax 7 years ago.
