Well, DH got home and has taken over my project! He told me I could milk the cows he would work on the floor. As long as it gets done I guess I don't care who does it.

DH got two more sheets layed down lastnight.

Today I have to go and sink the nail heads and I want to start with the filler too.

Here are the pics of what the end of day 1 brought:

This is the main floor

This is the "busy" corner that took so long

I had to take the basement door off so I could lay the underlayment. I put the kid gate up so the kids wouldn't accidentally fall down the stairs.

So proud of you for that. I don't think I would know how to start. I would figure it out, but my hubbie is so handy at everything I kind of let him handle that stuff. Great job. Now, you get to go have fun with the animals and still get the floor done.

I know how because growing up we were always remodeling/building someone's house in the family. We teased my Dad because for two or three years in a row he knocked a wall out on New Year's Day.

I give you girls that go for it ALOT of credit. So many women sit and say they can't do it.. with out even trying!! Never know until you try!! What did you hubby say when he came home?? any help from him? Know it will all turn out great!

You missed #32. He took over and sent me out to do the milking. I figured it would be the other way around. I'm glad he is helping though. Although my Dad has Tues., Wed., and Thurs. off and is willing to come help if needed so I wouldn't have had to do it totally alone which means it would get done faster.

Okay, things are going good.
Here is at the end of day two

And the end of day three

We also went into town last night (day 3) and picked out and up the vinyl tile that will go down.

Today is finish sinking nails (about 3/4 sheet left) and do more filling. There is also two small pieces left to put down. I'm hoping by the end of today this stuff will all be done. Of course, that means my 3 1/2 year old has to cooperate.

End of day four brought everything ready to be sanded! All the nailing, sinking, and filling was done! Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!

This morning I got out the sander and sanded the floor, cleaned the dust off and now it is ready to have the floor primer put on. Then we can mark it and put the vinyl tile down!

Oh, almost forgot. I want to paint the white trim at the bottom of the cupboards before we put the floor down.

Wow - Farmer Kitty I was following along on your project, that's looking real good. I love to do stuff like that. Well, maybe not a floor. Can't wait to see the next step!
