I think the whole luau party would be awesome, what about these recipes for replacing the roast pig? Assign all the side dishes to willing guests and have the tent sleepover in the yard so you can relax when you serve the awesome tropical drinks this theme allows!

I did not spend much money on food ~ we did the basic hamburger, hotdog on the grill. We had some cheap entertainment and had a blast.

We did all of this for my husband's 50th in April:

Blind Folded Musical Chairs

I scream, You scream, I can't see my Ice Cream

Get 3 or 4 couples
Have the husband stand behind the SO
He loops his arms through hers
Both are blind folded
He feeds her ice cream out of bowl
Makes a huge mess ~ and one heck of a headache~

Do you or people attending drink?

Buy a nice bottle of Whiskey, Wine, etc * or something if you don't drink* have a nice gift, a medium gift, and a gag gift bag:

Have everyone buy a raffle ticket ~ winner gets the prize, hubby gets the money

Get a pinata and stuff it with candy, small plastic liquor bottles, plastic spiders, gum, etc...hang it from a tree and blindfold him.

Water balloons
Horse Shoes
Silly String *we were a bunch a kids, chasing each other with balloons and silly string*

The cake was made out of cupcakes ~ everyone just picked a cupcake out, no need to cut slices.

Yea, so am I! Overland said that it is not in demand in our area, so they can't get one.

I've even called the grocery stores, who say they can't get them anymore either. One gave me an 800 #, but it is no longer to the right company. So, I can order one, but with shipping it is crazy expensive!

Maybe I need to do lamb or a leg of something.

Or a few chickens

GaNewChick, I like the cupcake cake idea! That makes life MUCH easier! I really like the pinata idea with candy and small plastic bottles of liquor! But, I am worried about the rain. :-( Maybe I can think of something similar that'll work regardless of what the weather decides.
