I had a turken rooster once. He made a great pot of stew, easy to clean carcass too.

I've had longtails. Quite a labor to pluck.. and not much of anything to eat.. Tiny eggs.. No wonder I'm trying to get rid of 'em(having a hard time finding suckers.. uh I mean takers for the last three).

I am getting a chick shipment this Friday and I have some turkens in the order. I can't wait to see them after looking at your beautiful roo !! What a goregous animal. From what I have seen on this site they grow rather large. I have Giants and he looks as big or bigger than a giant. Good Luck.
