It's pretty exciting around here. Hope I can sleep. These little guys just sit calmly in my hand.

Doug I love the girls but this goose is just adorable! what breed is she again? wait, don't tell me or I will go search them! I am in love with that beak and coloring, is that lump soft or hard above the beak?

Today's summary 5/1/2013 (last night ~current)

WOW you guys as i was typing up the summary two whole pages were added to the forum lol ..

cochins is hoping for some goslings to hatch
she has goose eggs, ee, lf cochin, and bantam cochin in the bator !!
cochins commented that her first batch of shipped eggs were a little more than tony's and not a single chick - but she will still get them despite the risk !!
and is anxiously awaiting gardening mama's pics with the rest of us !!
and is also nail biting over shipped chicks !!
cochins also reported that lucy is still doing good


doug had candled 4 eggs last night and they were active and now there are several goslings in the nest !!! love love loving the pictures of the cute little buggers and we all say congrats !!gardening momma was having a baby with issues - it finally made it out and had promised a picture
oh and she goes to pick up 3 call ducklings today ..
she is also having humisity issues which will hopefully get better.
she also has problems with brb and its meaning and kept all of us anxiously waiting lol
and is going to try dropping the temp a little to get a rise in humidity

confusedturtle read hatching 101, thanked sally for all the info, and is feeling more confident about hatching

motorcyclechick had two questionable eggs with blood rings on day 14 and raised her humidity a bit and rotated where the eggs are..she is wondering about the different sized air cells she is seeing

oz believes in theory the newer pennies would work just as well as the older ones as they are copper plated ..he also claims to have hatchlings but has yet to produce pictures lol
and he had an interesting discussion with himself about the carbon dioxide information

galgo98 wanted to go over and watch the bator with sally as gal has an empty bator and brooder (sally suggested refilling the bator)

Oz shared another happy picture of his beautiful little princess !! (post 14040- if ya havent seen the pics oh please do go look will make your heart smile !!)

hill loved renne's story and we like her "hormonal" two cents !!

tony asked if renne use superglue to keep her chicks so still (glad ya like the orange !!)
he is also feeling like he wasted money on his shipped eggs - 12 GLB ..hoping something starts happening inside of them !!!
and he is still waiting on his dellies !! there were several suggestions on how to pass the time lol looks like it will be tommorow though ...

wax myrtle stopped in and told oz he had some stinkin cute kids .. i think we can all 2nd and 3rd that !!!

R.I.P. Humpty Dumpty - sadly the little cutie did not make it .... you can read the rest of the story in post 14054 and see the pic ... we all offer our condolences for this brave fighter of a chick !!

Sally would love to hatch a goose - singular- as in one lol (be careful what ya wish for i will lol when someone ships ya those eggs)
( on a side note-I tried with plugs in last hatch ... my hatch rate was a little better actually ... )

toast n jelly is day 7 on shipped eggs ... air cells are split between saddles and floating ...
and is thinking this might be a challenging hatch with many assists

doug has found himself talking alone in the thread before and "overpaid" for pullets bc he has had bad luck with shipped eggs in the past
he also showed off the new pullets and they are lovely girls as well (post # 14108)

rockashelle loves oz's pics as much as the rest of us

mikkles wondered if the white chin was better to have

el pollo rey stoppeed by and wished sumi luck and has set 81 eggs as of this morning

chirp suggested when sally has time to compile the info on humpty dumpty and said to take care of herself !!
also chirp was informed she is now here to stay lol and she is more than ok with that

sally informed us that sumi said hi, is safely at her destination and doing well
and sally is praying for something out of the button quails and turkeys!! (3 turkey pips so far and the other maran and braham)
sally also lost a chick in the grow out pen so is stopping her sells for now just in case

tweetynpetey told us of her sad loss of 4 pullets today and we all express our condolences there as well
and has two duckies to hatch soon

prnzsbuttrcluck (named for the princess bride -one of the awesomest movies EVER) offered to share eggs with toast in jelly and wished her good luck with her hatch and posted a self destruct message .. oohh magic lol

oz posted a lot of waiting pictures for us as we all waited for gardening mama and then sally to brb lol

chicksooner has some weather issues going on and has a broody that tried to take fingers off and admitted she was a princess bride fan (as am i ) and goonies fan ( as am i again lol )

oz mentioned a power outage on day 21 ... not supposed to happen in socal he says !! and omg he doesn't know who the princess bride is - OZ homework : rent the movie from somewhere and totally watch it ... bet your little princess would like it (sally you have to rent it too )

oohhh sally has a brahma out !! and dont give up on the buttons yet !!!!
