.

There are just soo many folks this hatch who are being tested. Not a fun way to learn, though.

I'm still trying to work with this last set of 13 chickies hatched by broody Mom's.

They got cocci 2 1/2 weeks in. A bloody mess, hopefully, 2 weeks later, alot of Corid, then electrolytes/probiotics, all but 2 seemed to be thriving.

Looking to be able to return 10 of them back outside this weekend. The other 2 I'll have to assist with hydration from time to time, just a little longer. They are eating some, just still real weak. I will be getting the grow gel, could have used it through this, just plain forgot about it, duh. . .

Looking forward to reclaiming that bathroom 1 day!

Sally, the 12 incubated from the Easter hatch are 6+ weeks old and doing well! Except for all those stinker Roo's! You're a great coach!

But we know what to do with those, now don't we?

Tony love the reds, gorgeous!

Everyone with hatches/chickies that are OK, congrats! Those who are still working to get them out, up and going. . . hope, luck and cheers to help you through!

Fry up some chicken or beef liver and mash it up and feed it to your sick chicks. Most likely they are anemic from loss of blood and that is why they are taking so long to recover. Promise it works and liver stinks like crazy when cooking so if you haven't cooked liver before be warned.

Sorry Sally. Your dealing with a lot.

Broody update...she has 2 babies with her. I have 1 in the bator still drying, The 4 remaining eggs all look to be pipped internally. The first baby was out eating this morning but looks like it has a little peck mark by it's eye. Thinking one of the other chickens was in there so they are now locked up tight and will stay that way until the hen gets up.

Send me your questions. I (unfortunately) know about addiction cases.
