Hi guys haven't been on much, making the most of my parents being here, only 2 days left with them and what little time I have on here at night now means I just can't keep up lol. Anyways as you know I have started my first ever incubation and the one turkey egg was given to me from the nest and a lot further ahead. I noticed the egg is starting wobble and wiggle. When do I lay it flat and not turn it. The whole egg isn't taken up yet.

we had a bad episode with a turkey tonight, she/he musta flipped the metal heavy bowl over her, she was chilled and shaking trapped underneath, she was under a heat lamp for two hours and now seems ok, what a freak scare, the bowl is fairly heavy I wouldn't have thought she could flip it either. so I went back to a reg feeder for them now. : ( talk about feeling guilty and just after warning Mich and showing her what sorta dish to use for FF! but I don't FF my turkey feed! stupid me!

Sally on the left and Gertrude on the right lookingg for their evening treat.

Lilly, an EE and Grant Jr. (my son named him after himself) I am not sure if he is a pure Ameraucana and if so, what type. They are from my first ever hatch.

Week olds sleeping on top of me in a towel. :)

Potatoes we just harvested from the tubs I'm growing them in.

MFT looks a little confused as to where she should put her feet to move around lol!

Funny you say that. My other mare came running in and I started shooing them out and she moved into a bunch of chickens and started moving real carefully and watching where she put her feet. I was real proud if her. Then the geese got after her. It was funny.

Well. I missed lockdown yesterday. Oops. I candled and removed a few eggs from two bators(new batteries in the flashlight. Woohoo what a difference) anyway. I candled and had two eggs that had already pipped and most had internal pips on day 19. I locked down 11 eggs. I added water. Not to much. Hoping for 65%. All 11 should hatch. We will see what happens.
