If your sure your on target you can do 65 and then after you see pips you can take up a tad to 68-72 and then when they start to hatch it may go higher which mine sometimes goes skyrocketed to 80's but whats nice is I can always take out a sponge or two!

So if my air cells look like day 18 on your diagram in Hatching 101, what humidity would you set it at? These are over all the best air cells I've seen for shipped eggs.

Right now humidity gauge says 72% and temp is 100. Tonight will be Day 19.
I think you are on the right track with temp and humidity. Hardest part now is sitting on your hands and doing nothing.

OMG this made me envision some of the nasty stuff my dogs ate!
Crap that reminds me...I need to go pick up the dead bird before the dog eats it.

Thankf

thankfully, my family is in and we are spending time at the beautiful white sand beaches!!!! Great distraction!!! I'm hoping to do a Doug and come home to a bator full of chicks one day!!!!

I put 11 eggs in lockdown yesterday. I had to open it up to try to remove humidity last night and again this morning. I removed all the eggs and dumped out all the water. The dang humidity is around 95% in my bator. I cant believe its so high. I hope its back down when I get home.

I think we are supposed to hit around 111 with the heat index today. I spent the morning watering gardens, grass, pots, dogs, chickens, and kids. I just went thru and put electrolytes in the waters. I also have water bottles in the freezer for later so they can be added to water or just laid out for the chickens to lay next to.

For those of you new to chickens watch your birds in the heat.
