I originally tried to stop my chickens from going under my small back porch but with the heat I've allowed them to go under there. They are only under there at the hottest times of the day so I don't think it will get too stinky.I think we are supposed to hit around 111 with the heat index today. I spent the morning watering gardens, grass, pots, dogs, chickens, and kids. I just went thru and put electrolytes in the waters. I also have water bottles in the freezer for later so they can be added to water or just laid out for the chickens to lay next to.
For those of you new to chickens watch your birds in the heat.
