They are about 2 weeks old now and growing fast! And today I made them all a big yogurt/ bread/ fruit dish to munch on which they enjoyed a ton! The chicks are named Java (the hen) Mocha (the roo) ans Peanut (the quail) I will upload pics soon!
Quote: Ya but not sure who! They are absolutely lovely girls, I call them our bling chickens lol "Kids please check for eggs in the Bling coop"
OMgawd! Oz what was that stuff called you suggested? My duck eggs are on day 14, I removed the obviously undeveloped ones and the questionable little stink bomb too. I'm left with 4, I had originally thought 3 but miscounted. When my eggs arrived I had 2 that were damaged but hopefully hatchable, one had a crack that went halfway around. I think one of my kids messed with it because it is really damaged now. It still looks like its developing & there is no ooze so I'm assuming the membrane is still intact. Here are some pictures of my little fighter

There are lots of veins in it and I see movement inside. Plus good air cells on all 4 eggs.
She is helping her sis with baby and having a few issues but she is hanging in there, shoot her a PM sometime.Has anyone figured out where Silver went? Just worried about her.
I would say you could! sounds like an awesome plan too! let us know how it works out for you!Newbie hatching first shipped eggs (5 in bator and some under broodies) and quick question....if the 5 in incubator look like great air sacs at lockdown can they be moved under a broody with the rest (same incubation days) for hatch or better just hatching them in incubator like they've been?
I lost a chicken today. I think the heat was too much.will be up early tomorrow putting up shaders and moving birds around.![]()
Bators are whirring hoping electricity holds up going to be 110 by Saturday
So plan of action...spray paint girls blue.Mine are getting terrible as well, the roos seem to like my gold hens more than blue though.
