I use little dog crates. A month ago I had them scattered all around in my coop as it seemed everyone went broody all at once. I ran out of places to stuff them. I am all for broodys doing the hard work.
Yep. Wash it off with warm water. Don't let them chill.I get really warm water and place the new chick in a warm towel and wet them down and try to rub down w paper towel. It might take a couple of times as I get the worst off then let the chick warm back up in brooder or bator. Then I try again.

Thanks!! I have one that is completely covered and stuck to it's self -even one of it's eyes is glued shut. The other was worrying me because it had junk and shell glued to it's butt, covering it's vent. I gave them a little bath. The really bad one is doing much better, but is going to need another one, because one of it's wings is stuck to it's body at a weird angle. Number two is still a mess, but the area around it's vent is clear.I get really warm water and place the new chick in a warm towel and wet them down and try to rub down w paper towel. Staycations are the best except we always end up working ourselves dead tired. Work hard play hard.sounds like an AWESOME plan! do you run your water out of the dehumids via hose? or have to empty? So awesome 10 days! OMG OZ I have no clue how you guys do this! DH and I are on vacation until the 8th as well. MUCH NEEDED even if I cant leave these pups, we do have a nice pool and we can vacation at home! Do you guys have any plans?
