I talked with McMurray and they agree with you chicksooner; they say it is shipping stress. Nothing I can do beyond what I am doing.

This chick just went into the gasping phase so I don't have much hope for her.

I hope the others will be O.K! I don't know about shipping stress, but I read recently that ACV helps with stress in chickens in general. Try that?

Sold 5 silkies last night, and my first ever hatched from the pen!

DH was like, I cant believe you just sold that chick! He said if I sell the cochin I just hatched he knows I lost it.... Seriously!

He tells me I have too many and then complain when they are gone!

I have a doz silky and cochin eggs in the garage I am collecting and I told him I could sell them and he just shook his head and walked away.
but turned around and said if I even TOUCH his brahma I am DONE!

Its time for feed delivery and every little buck counts! his chicken/eggs could pay for MY feed for a friggen year!

DOA everyone, packaged EXACTLY the same she said! So SOMEONE will have an earful!

The PO gal asked me what kind I am getting because her friend shows and hatches and sells. So I may find my spitz local to add to these guys....

3 of them are just like this one. I can see little feet and beaks moving. Maybe they started late?

I had some like this, they hatched a few days later and were WHITE chicks! so I pray its so!!

I'm going to place an order for some eggs today. From the guy I bought my chickens from. He's got quite a few different breeds, but because these chicks are for selling to the pet shop I'm thinking Leghorn or RIR. Hardy, good layers and well known breeds. If I order them today he can bring me the eggs next Friday. I just need to talk to my hatch buddy about the date we're setting them... more later

Maybe on the next batch, I don't know if switching from vitamins to AVC now would help or upset their systems more.

The little one passed a few minutes ago. I hope she was the last.
