no that wouldnt effect air cells like that.... lockdown is today right?
It's tomorrow, but I started it just now to get the humidity up- Should I lower the humidity to get the air cells big, or is it too late?

keep it low and candle again tomorrow and mark aircells
Okay... day 18 starts at 7 in the morning tomorrow... So it would be the better half of day 18 when I could candle them. Should I just keep humidity low until I hear peeping in the eggs or wiggling?

I put Hope beside the incubator to keep the eggies company! :D

yup and more than one thermometer and try to move eggs around due to cold spots as we discussed...

Ok so we've been looking at our thermometers and we have 3 that we've been checking and all three seem to read different. My husband has a thermoprobe he uses for work that was just calibrated a month ago. Put it in the ice water and it read 32.4 degrees which is right on. Put the mercury thermometer in it and it read like 35. How can I calibrate the Walmart one to see what it's reading? Wanna make sure my temp is spot on when I decide to set my next batch of eggs. Also is there another way I can test humidity?

Welcome, goslings are dry so will try and get some pictures for you of the little darlings tomorrow. We have two adult geese coming in though so might be a busy day.
