Mine lay all day long so it really doesn't matter when they get let out. They all go back to the nest boxes to lay.you know I keep running into people that wait to let their chickens out in the morning! It makes sense to let them in a bit so that everyone gets bored and lays eggs before heading out to forage. Anyone else read this or know this? LOL I am always a late bloomer here
There always seems to be one that has to bust out before everyone and get the party started early.I wasn't expecting anything to happen before Monday/Tuesday. I would've locked down earlier if I knew they were going to this! My chicken eggs in this 'bator started hatching on day 21. Same temp. Ah well, not complaining. I was looking forward to see the duck-ducks![]()
How are you feeling, Oz?
I HAVE AWESOME NEWS!!!!!
Today we went to a local chicken buy/sell/trade market! We traded 3 of the chicks for the guarentee of a Mille flure d'uccle hen that should hatch in a couple weeks! And maybe a drake for my mallard duck!!! YAYAYYA
