babys out! tied off his umbilical with dental floss and iodine. all that was left was white stringy stuff and clear jelly so i tied and cut close to the belly. did i do it right?

here he is in the brooder with a buddy i bought today

that was the first pipper so all i have left is the lower middle pipper. her vessels are completely gone and the exposed membrane is starting to come off by itself theres still a tiny yolk it looks like. its like a half moon shape smaller than a dime but bigger than an eraser head.

what do you all think?

im just sittin on my hands looking at my lil fluffball. i just wanted to make sure i did the umbilical right?
when i waz checking on the one still in the egg you could hear the 2 babies in the brooder peepin so then the lil one still in the egg started squawking like a loon!

Yes, you did a great job with her navel!

I've heard my ducks make loons sounds a couple of times. I love it!

hey duck people, Clem is mounting the hens but they aren't laying yet. He is a thanksgiving duck and the girls are from Nyears eve??? normal or what? and usually in the pond.

thanks sally your so sweet. but you deserve a million thanks and pats on tbe back! i was so patient just like you always say and thats just what ive done is really listen and read and reread the assist article and read it again! i would send you a bouquet of flowers but maybe a box o eggs would be more fitting. the only reason i would need a straightjacket is to stop me from ordering more shipped eggs!

I need a straight jacket also to restrain from ebay poultry, CL, FB Livestocks, BYC Auctions, also for restraining from candling and gathering eggs and placing into the bator!
I have thought I perhaps need help, but for some reason God keeps sending me more eggs so its supposed to happen right????? right????????
