How did it go?

I can't get the floss around it. That big black glub is hard crusty blood or something. The yoke sack is very small but bleeding.

Put some spray on it.

I've decided I want to try some shipped eggs. What kind? I want a new Silkie, mine was eaten by a bobcat this fall.... What are your favorites and where do you get them?
how many and what colors do you want? I can collect a few eggs I am getting blue, splash, white and partridge out of my pens. They lay sporadically though....
Silkie and polish eggs are THE HARDEST eggs to ship out, I don't know if its because people have to collect longer since they don't lay as great as some other breeds or if its the membrane is weaker than most. I can start collecting and let you know how many I can get in a few days.

My new babies! I'm really interested to see how the front calico and the yellow chick with tinges of grey feather out. It's so fun to wonder and watch! These eggs hatched from Black Orp roo or BLBW splash roo and the moms were one of the following:

Ameraucana - have 3 real blue layers, 2 black, 1 lavendar splash
easter egger- have 1 green layer
barred rocks - hatchery stock very large light egg - these chicks will be sex linked
1 black marans cross easter egger - lays a dark brown egg but not as dark as a BCM
3 wyandottes - one black and 2 blue laced red wyandottes (so you have a chance at pure blue laced red wyandotte eggs)

Cute gray one, I wonder if he will feather out dark grey or black!

This is my favorite! It's yellow with a tinge of grey all over. I'm excited to see how it feathers out!!! <3

Here's Calico! Look at that moudled coloring!!! It has a yellow blob on its head. You can see it in the next pic.

I love my new babies!
