for some reason I cant post pictures, so I hope I can explain this so you can picture it.

to make a generic wagon wheel from 2x4's :

standing on edge in a miter saw, cut 12 2x4 blocks at an 18 degree angle on each end flipping each time you cut. from the longest points each 2x4 should measure 5 inches. on the largest side mark dead center by lining up alternating corners and drill a 1 inch hole all the way though. the blocks would look like this / \ looking dead on from the small edge of the 2x4.

using the same saw setting, cut 12 more pieces 2 inches long at the widest points. mark the same way, but only drill half way though with the hole being on the largest side.

rip 6 pieces of wood 3/4 x 3/4 square and 6 foot long. using a router and quarter round bit, take off the corners to form a rough looking dowl rod. you can buy 1 inch dowl rods to do this if you want, (12) 1 inch dowl rods 3 feet long.

nail or screw 5 inch blocks together to form a circular shape. do the same thing with the 2 inch blocks. center the small "circle" inside of the larger one, measure and cut dowls to make spokes.

I have some rough pictures but I cant get them to post. looking at this when its done, from the side you would see the 2 inch sides of the 2x4's.

I have another 2 month old pullet get wry neck today. Again fine this morning and this afternoon when I refreshed water and added electrolytes. This evening she was looking upside down. GRRRRR so frustrated. Haven't culled yet. I am going to move her into the garage with a fan and observe.
oh wow, what is the cause of this? vitamins?

TEMPERATURE
Never trust the thermometer that comes with the incubator, always check it.
The thermometer that came with my incubator was off by 5 degrees.
That could mean life or death for your babies.
With a Forced Air Incubator (fan model) you can get the best hatch rate by keeping the temperature at 99.5º F. throughout the entire incubation period. HOWEVER, when using a Still Air incubator (no fan) at 102º F. The reason for different temperatures is that with a fan model the circulating air warms all around the egg while still air temperatures are warmer at the top of the egg than at the bottom. The temperature is measured at the level where the embryos develop (at the top of the egg). A high temperature tends to produce early hatches. A consistently cooler temperature tends to increase incubation times and produce weakened chicks. In both cases the total chicks hatched will be reduced.  Prepare your incubator and run it for several days before adding eggs, to be positive you are maintaining correct incubation temperature.  NOTE: It is common that when adding eggs the temperature will drop but should come back up to correct temperature within an hour or two. Don’t rest the thermometer's bulb touching the eggs or the incubator. Incorrect readings will result. Did you know that 10/13 day old embryos begin to produce excess heat in the incubator? Most large commercial incubators will spend more time cooling than heating!
Gotcha. To be honest, I left it at 99.5 for my other hatches. I have upped the temp and hope to see what happens. I measure my temp from the middle of the egg, not the top. If this doesn't give me better results I'll up the temp again. I love experimenting. I was afraid you were going to say I'd fried my eggs. Whew!!!!

410 shotgun or if you're a good shot .22 revolver w/ dust shot. wound it the birds will handle it from there :)

I've used an air pump BB gun. Got a few big old mice with it. Another thing to do, is fill a 5 gallon bucket half way with water, dump a bunch of black sunflower seeds on top- enough to completely cover the water. I put a little ramp on mine so they can climb in easier. The rats see the seeds, and not the water. They jump in, then they can't get out and drowned. You could put it out at night when the chickens are sleeping, Or cover the top, and leave spaces big enough for the rat.

Nothing is different about them than any other chicken I have raised. The only thing I keep coming back to is genetics.

So after talking to My Orp mentor who also lives in OK it could be heat or just a vitamin deficiency. So now trying to get info on what vitamins I can give the rest to prevent any more deaths.

Serama Saloon needs your ideas! We sorta took one step to a theme and it snowballed! I need a spittoon for the porch, a wagon wheel and we are going to get empty whiskey bottles from the Gun Club and do something with the roost above the second chicken entrance that is empty yet, oh and a small fire pit with wood/ash for looks and health, and some logs for the kids to sit on around it. First up is a video and then pics for those that cant see the vid... oh and did I mention I LOVE SKIDS!
Awesome.... Great job chickens will be the envy of the neighborhood .

went from 15 eggs down to 9..... all my mille fleur leghorn eggs are gone. :( so i have 2 basque, 1 barnvelder, 1 cream legbar, 1 crele pendesenca, 2 wellsumer, and 2 isbar. I think i might see some blood rings but i am holding off a little longer just incase as some of the eggs are hard to see through. I wish i could get these breeds locally. Guess i will try again in the fall maybe. Hoping I can get a few pullets of this hatch. BUT on an up side the two crele laced polish i hatched are feathering in and look like girls and they have beautiful markings! and my little isbar I have is still the cutest little thing!
Sally, the coop looks great!!
