Is this a dry membrane or is this normal?

Here is a better shot. This is the first one that pipped at 9pm. There is a small slit in the bottom and some white on the edge. I am concerned the middle portion is looking brown/dry. How does it looked to an experienced eye? There are like 7 or 8 more pipping this morning :D

i think it looks ok from what i can tell on my phone...
