Some old, some fresh. The oldest ones are about 12 days old.

There are only 3 hens that I'm collecting from; 2 silver laced and 1 black bantam.

I'm tempted to throw some of the other eggs in, but I really shouldn't. There's no need for mixed colored chicks.

why not mixed colored? Can you sell the chicks for a bag of feed ;) ????

Even a buck a piece its more than you woulda gotten eating it!

Coch you know I said my brahma are not pipped yet? Well I finally figured it out! I am seriously not having enough bator space so the brahma eggs were in the stryo bator for a week while the CCL where in the coolerbator the entire time, so I will now assume that my styro thermos are not calibrated anymore! I actually wrote everything down and forgot I scribbled what I was doing! So now that at least makes sense!

Tornado Watch is in effect!!! SERIOUSLY! OMGAWD I need to move!

It's awful here. We got 12+ inches of snow yesterday with wind gusts of 50 mph. They held back all of the snow plows because of zero visibility. Nearly all of the highways and freeways were shut down this morning because of the drifting. We have a couple of 5 ft. drifts! They're almost as tall as me.

I ran down to the barn late last night to check on the birds. I was trying to shield my face from the icy wind so I wasn't really looking where I was going and I ended face down in a drift blocking the barn. I'm sick of winter.

Tornado watch. Does that mean it's gotten warmer where you are? Be safe!

True, but those hens are also of lesser quality. I chose the ones that I wanted to breed ahead of time.

I hope Goosey lays me a few eggs this spring. I don't want anymore geese, but sebastopol goslings seem to sell for a minimum of $75 a piece.

Good luck with the brahma. Hopefully they'll start hatching soon.

The Sulfadimethoxine Soluble powder, soluble liquid

agrimycin I believe is the Oxytetracycline section

But I am not sure on the agrimycin with layers and eating eggs??? you will have to research this stuff too!
