lol I cant wait for pics! we also sent those 10 part brahma out to the new pallet coop. It doesnt have windows yet, but its close enough to call home! we put 2 lights in it just in case the heat lamp blows... was thinking of putting a thermostat so they would turn on if the heat lamp blows out and temp dips too far... paranoid they dont have all feathers yet. No word on the duck eggs.... will have to see what changes in incubation and read up today. suggestions

I moved my little chicks out to the big coop. I rigged up the heat lamp but not sure I will use it. They are in a separate cage so no one will pick on them. I put the ducklings outside in a cage in the sun earlier and let them "bathe". Water was flying everywhere. I wish they would hurry and feather out so they can be outside and have all the water they want.

Sally you have a lot to look forward to with ducks. I'll post a pic later so you can see the mess.

No more issues... I ran all that and did windows update... I use IE9 I have chrome but prefer this.

Sally i am wondering if you are having issue with posting? . I noticed you had the same problem i did with the icons for photos and smilies a few days ago the whole icon line actually dissapeared... Then came back . Now i cant post using my normal Explorer on BYC. Box comes up and says i havent writing a message or says the server cant send the message Have to go to an old dial up i have or use my phone. to post Just on BYC Wonder if any one else has this probem . Support told me to clear the temp cookies but my computer does that already automatically If you have this problem try going on BYC thru another server. It will work .

Sally, this is your thread. Still going strong! Got some suggestions and links for other browsers on here. Apparently the problem is with IE and you should switch to Firefox or Safari or one of the others... Have a look

Yup, but I have IE9 and it works fine after disc cleanup and windows updates.... so not sure what is going on with the others..... oh I turned off compatibility view as well.... so I havent a clue,..... I have chrome but rather use this IE9

Ducklings at 6 weeks. They are huge and feathers are just really starting to come in. That is a dish pan they are playing in. I refilled it a couple times for them. It was nice and warm yesterday so I just set them in the sun and let them get after it.

AWWWWW how adorable!!! these are the ones you hatched? how pretty!!! 6 weeks oh CRUD!! I am sooooooo in trouble!

I haven't gotten the bator yet /: I'm seriously hoping they'll bring it soon cause having a hatch-a-long sounds like a great idea! Then I won't just have to wing it on if the eggs look like they're developing right. I'll ask my friend when she can bring it over /:
And WHOA those ducklings are 6 weeks?! Gosh my duck is 3 months but smaller than that!

YES! need to hatch with me! I hope she send the eggs... Sumi had me looking at that homemade bator thread and I just may make one!! then I can do ducks and chickens at the same time! lol

No I didn't hatch them. My little guy picked them out at the feed store. Never again will I brood ducklings.
