I have chicks the same age, 1 week and 3 days old today.They are changing so fast! Mine are 1 week and a couple days and I can see them getting brave leaving momma to go explore the run. My other hens steer WAY away from her and the babies.

Gosh, this heatwave brought so many flies to the run. I'm now finding myself looking up DIY fly trap videos, lol... On the bright side the chickens are enjoying a little more insect protein when they manage to snag one.

Well, each day we take 2 of the chicks (1 per person) out and pet them, feed them, bond with them. They will come to my hand in I reach down, but right now I am working on being able to try and hold them.cutie pie incubator babies <3
How are they doing in the friendliness department? I'm looking to set some bantam eggs in the crock pot this week... hoping to have some super tame chickens (if any actually hatch)!
