Super odd right?That's strange.
That’s sweet of you.Day 17 (I'm losing count)
It's been too hot to leave the house, so I haven't been checking on the chickies as much during the day.
The grass on the edge of the woods have gone to seed, which the whole family seems to enjoy picking.
Going on a little tangent here:
This is one of my orloffs who often begs to be let in so she can get to the cat food. She's alllmost got the cat door figured outI always let her in since she's at the bottom of the pecking order and always ends up being chased away from the goodies.
Looks like she thinks she’s a dog now…
Are you planning on a specific breed? On the other end of the spectrum we have chonky Commander BSL. I'm giving her away to a friend at the end of this week so I can open up some space for another hen who can add more color to my cartons. She's a big ol sweetie and I'm going to miss her.

And here is my coop and run. It's a mess, lol. I still think I'm a genius for accidentally positioning the coop and run under two big old trees. It provides a lot of shade in summer and lets the sun in during winter.
