I do not think that is right...Sorry I think that is poisinous to chickens...It must say food grade or fresh water... But i think thats poisinous to chickens...Look for perma gaurd....

It says on the back,,Containing DE is made from Amorphous Diatomaceous Earth fresh water type.

Does that make a difference?

Yeah,,you might be right. The more i read the package it says if you get it in your eyes to call a poison control center or your doc for treatment advice and to avoid contact clothing and avoid breathing the dust.. so i think it might be bad for chickens too.

I think you could look for phone# on the bag maybe they sould tell you but I myself wouldnt chance it.. Does it say fossil shell flour...

I looked but didnt see anywhere where it said anything about fossil shell flour. I agree,,I'm not gonna chance it. I'll use it somewhere else to kill bugs.

I am new to chickens and have been following this thread about Natural Guard. The folks at the feed store say they sell this to chicken owners all the time. I was still anxious as to whether it would cause any harm or not , so I emailed the company asking specifically if it could be used on and around chickens. They emailed me back today saying that it is safe. So I guess I will give it a try. Has anyone else used it yet and if so what were the results?
