I just got D.E. about a mth ago and Ialready see results. Less flys, no external bugs. I give it to my chickens in there feed and they have been expelling the worms. I got it froma guy in Lake Elsinor. He sells it. Wolf creek ranch. I got a 50lb sack. He does ship to. But I went and picked it up. You can look up his website, it is very informative. I was all for using it.
Granted I found it at my Co Op ( health food store) and the print out that came from it was provided by the company. I am a bit Leary because it contains 83% Silica... I am a ceramicist and know it can really screw up your lungs. So they should say on the package use a mask if mixing dry. Also it caused my girls to Sneeze. I stopped using it they stopped sneezing. I wanted to really use it for all the reason listed but it just doesn't work for my birds.
I would advise people to educate them selves and make a informed decision for them and not do something just because every one else it might not be right for you and your birds.
There was recently an article in Backyard Poultry. I am not selling either side of the argument but I feel that people should make a decision off of what they consider the facts. IF YOU USE IT WEAR A MASK EVEN FOOD GRADE!

I got my DE today at the feed store they just started carrying it 50lbs for 24.99 plus tax. Going to start using it tomorrow. It says food grade flour on it and I don't see any ingredients listed on the bag so I assume that it is 100% DE?

Check your local co-op. It took me a month to find it, they'll have it, or will order it.
