Did I Kill It?

Around 6pm, I went out to check on my broody and collected the extra eggs under her. Others keep adding to her clutch of 8 when she's off the nest. I accidently collected one of the originals. I set it on the counter in the house and noticed it at 8:30pm. I've put it back under mama but I'm afraid I killed it!!! And the worst part...it was my Welsummer's egg! Grrr....is there any hope?

it was not out that long so i would not give up on it may be slower to hatch tho so keep that in mind.

I would still give it a chance. At least you didn't put it in the fridge so it probably didn't get as cold as you think. I say wait and see....it may surprise you and be fine.
