my duck suddenly stopped walking about 4 days ago, after a few clicks on Google and looking at his feet all I could come up with was bumblefoot. I called all the vets in town, no one would see him.. And i was very hesitant on how to treat him.. I soak his feet im epsom salt water and peeled the scab off ... I then put neosporin on it and wrapped it the best I knew how. MY ONLY CONCERN IS tHAT all of the videos and articles I read no one says anything about their duck or chicken completely not being able to walk.. he just drags his feet behind him.. im so sad he may never walk 😭 or even die.

no vets will see him? what area are you in, maybe someone can help you find a vet that will take him?

that’s really bad and i don’t think can be treated at home

I currently have his foot wrapped with ointment on it. And I have him in a dog crate with food and water.. i had to confine him, i was worried he would hurt himself even more dragging himself around

I am fighting a case myseright now, order yourself up some booties or if you are crafty with a sewing machine my mother made us some
From beer coozies, extra special nice design, helps to cushion the foot, the coozie isn’t how greatest material like real neoprene is but it’s pretty good especially if hes Isolated. Do you have any agriculture around you? A farmer might have a vet that could help you out keep soaking, and wrapping and keeping clean and I’m sure someone here will have some great advice. It’s a difficult thing to feel your way along with we’re doing it here with great help from this forum. What’s your feed? What’s the ground like he’s on all the time? Are his legs hot to the touch?
@Isaac 0 @Miss Lydia
I’m missing some but my phone isn’t helping me with pop up names and spellings.

His legs were a little warm, but its also 100 degrees here and hes laying on them.. so it was really hard to say... i just got the scabs off both feet today

the ground has a lot of pokeys 😭, i let them roam around my back yard.. Right now hes locked up. Ill look into some booties, and someone else said to get some spray for wounds

What we have been doing is epsom salt/iodine soak for 30 mins, I do it at night, then poultry wound spray, came from TSC and then triple antibiotic, ointment on gauze on the wound, vet tape on that to keep in place and the boot, it’s looking a little better day by day, started antibiotics yesterday as her foot was feeling hot , waiting to see how it goes .

Where did you get the antibiotics? Did yous stop walking completely? I'm worried because he will not stand AT ALL
