Did you buy sexed Silkies from MyPetChicken.com and....

For what it's worth, I order 1 partridge silkie pullet from them, and they sent me 2. Both 7 months later I have 2 girls.

I placed an order for 7 assorted bantam pullens from mpc back on 10/26 I got 7 live chicks. Five of them are silkies (not really what I would have preferred but they have grown on us) so far no body has crowed but will keep you posted as to the results. I will try and get some pics to post?

I will try and get some pics to post?

I love pics! I will try to get some of mine tomorrow too. I will post them here although I kind of wish this topic would go away. It took a whole wrong turn, that's for sure. But, thanks for sharing your experience.

I emailed my pet chicken about sexing bantams and this is what they said:
"Thank you for contacting My Pet Chicken. Yes, they can be vent sexed. It's a matter of being more gentle with the little ones and also having more experience sexing overall. Our sexers do a great job and have been sexing bantams for a long time.

I hope that helps! Please feel free to contact My Pet Chicken, again.

Best,
Melissa"

Why cant silkies be sexed like other breeds? I never got silkies from mpc because they were out of stock but when i got my silkies from last tsc a year and a half out of 4 i got 3 hens and a roo sadly the roo passed away from wry neck. But my other silkies turned out hens I recently got 3 young silkies from someone who was rehoming them said they were pullets. Out of the 3 ones a roo for sure. The others look like pullets. I got 12 eggs from mpc recently 6 hatched and the feather sexes saids i got 5 hens and a roo. Id be happy with that. Lol
