Did you eat the very first egg your chicken gave you?

I was told by a friend who used to raise hens "I wouldn't eat the first eggs".....

I ate mine...personally!
I waited until we had enough for my hubs and I to both have breakfast together, but I made sure I got the very first one. After all, I was the one who stalked them day and night for weeeeeks before I got it!
BTW, it was the very best egg I have ever eaten in my life. I eat some every week from my girls, but none have ever been as good as that little brown egg!

Yup. I waited until I had 3 of them, though, because new eggs are so small.

I blew out the first egg of every pullet, and saved the empty shell for posterity.

(Yah, I know, silly.... )
