Did you eat the very first egg your chicken gave you?

Not me -- it was the cutest, tiniest, most precious shade of blue. I blew out the insides and saved the egg. Oh, wait, I DID eat it -- I ate my egg and saved it too.

I'm still waiting for my first egg but my plan is to blow the contents out and paint the shell gold as it'll be the most expensive egg I ever had....

You bet we did! We waited so long for those first eggs and we fully enjoyed every bite!

No, only because it was soft-shelled (I guess I'm a weenie). I scrambled it up and fed it back to the girls. As soon as I got a hard-shelled one, you bet I ate it! Best egg ever!

Our very first egg was fried and split between DH and me. It was tiny but delicious!

Yes, today as a matter of fact. It was a smallish blue egg from our golden hued Ameraucana. So far she is the only one laying.

It was well formed and delicious!

Oh of course. The very first egg i ever got from my Cinnamon Queen-Chloe (R.I.P.) was great! i waited till i had 3 since they were so small! lol. I went from putting the eggs on a shelf in my fridge, to a 6-pack carton, to a dozen carton, to an 18 egg carton! lol. i have 6 12-packs in my fridge right now, 3 with chicken, 2 with duck, and one thats half/half
