$10 says you have more coons on your property than you know. Being nocturnal, they don't show themselves much during the day. Leave garbage out in plastic bags overnight for a couple nights; you'll likely find a bag torn open before long. Get Pop to spend a few nights outside with a powerful light; my guess is he'll see one, or more.
Not with the great Pyr out there. She'd chase them off.

lol these five roost in a tree nearby. TBH I was hoping two of the roosters became owl bait but hasn't happened yet :/

Yea, the debit scares me :th dad suggested scholarships and what not. DYK I gotta see a surgery on the school cow from the dairy herd that had a infection so rare the Dr that wants me to become a vet never seen it in 40 years of her working there?

DYK we were up there cuz our herd is her favorite to use for students doing her smalle ruminate class? :D

If you have a sponsor, go for it, if you want to be a veterinarian. You need to do some work at a vet clinic for your finishing school. There is a need for large animal vets, specifically cattle and other livestock. Here in Montana there is a shortage of large animal vets because they don't make much money compared to the small animal vets. There are way more women entering veterinary school than men now, and women are less likely to work with livestock. My mom does large and small in her practice, with some specialties in sheep.

It is HARD to get into vet school. Harder than to get into medicine, and unless your parents can sponsor you for 1/3 Million you will be paying off your debt for a decade (or two). And that does not include your undergraduate degree.

Then there is the actual pay... Which is a fraction of what doctors earn.

This is what vet school looks like. Note almost TOTAL absence of boys (they are probs all in the med school across the road)

My mom went in the 70s, I was born while she was in graduate school. At that time, there was probably 15% women in vet school. She is actually a little worried about the lack of male graduates, because a balance is better, and, like I said earlier, women don't typically like working with livestock, especially coming from the city. That said, my dad worked and did all sorts of odd jobs so that they would not have to take out any loans, and they applied for every single scholarship available, plus the instate tuition perk using the wichi program. They finished school almost debt free, even having had 2 children during mom's graduate school years. We were super poor though. There was a lot of sacrifice and making do, but now my parents are doing very well.
