I have converted a child's playhouse into a coop for my silkies. I am now ready to install cattle panels for the run, which will be 12 feet long. I would like to attach a human size door in the panel on the side of the first panel where it will connected to the coop. Has anyone ever done this before? If so, I need some advice (and pictures, if possible.) I am starting on the run today and my thought is if it possible to build this door on the side, I should start with the door before installing the first cattle panel.

Thanks

Burt just build a door frame maybe 2x4s. Attach it at the bottom. Cut the cattle panel from the bottom up on each side of your frame leaving the top still attached to the panel. Place your frame in and drape the cut section on the top of the door frame. Fill in the side gaps with maybe welded 2x4 wire.
I believe most of those panel squares are about 6" so base your frame size so you have a solid piece of wire on each side of the door frame.
