Digital Camera's - For Chicken Picture Taking =D

What is the consesus on the Kodak Easy share.
Also what would the minimum number of pixals a camera should have. Some come with docks some don't should I get one with a dock or not?

I don't know what the concensus is but i have not complaints with my easyshare. I don't have a camera dock. It has a USB port and that hooks right into Puter. Some of the new PC's come with a slot for your camera card. I have never had a dock so don't know what would be the advantage to having one

I do not recommend the "printer dock" it is just not cost effective, its only good for me if i need to make a print of something right at that moment to take somewhere.

It is MUCH cheaper getting your prints done from your SD or memory card at walmart sams club costco for as little as .14 each or less!

The paper and filters for the printer dock are some 20+ last time I bought one and it only prints like 10-20 pictures thats $1.00+ a print!

The printer dock is both the dock and printer in one, you can buy just the dock also. I wish i would of got just the dock. Its the same thing as the USB the USB plugs into the dock and you just set your camera on top of the dock and push a button and it will load your pictures etc and CHARGE YOUR BATTERIES!

The USB you have to turn your camera ON to load the pictures to your computer which drains your batteries, and does not charge them. (At least I dont think it does, but you do have to turn your camera on and it will kill them if your forgetful like me sometimes!)

Hope this is of some help.

I transport pics to puter the go to the Walgreens site and edit and have them print them and pic them up in one hour. They are pretty inexpensive and do a good job if you don't mind glossy finish.

Update: Well after playing with my camera almost a month, I have come to really enjoy it, and before I was really stiff on wanting the view finder, but I NEVER use it on this camera as the screen doesnt move around alot like my other carmera and gets a good focus, plus the screen is about 2x the size of my other camera's.
I also didnt like the cap issue, but I find myself not forgetting to put the cap back on, also I noticed the cameras on display in the stores dont have the cap attached with them and the lens and screen both have no scratches, thats pretty good IMO for how many people handle those!

I do have one issue with the camera, I am on my 5th set of batteries in under 30 days. Thats alot! With my other camera I can go probably a MONTH constant picture taking without having to replace batteries.

I put batteries in my camera Friday the 13th to take just a couple pictures of the Sonics mascott Sasquach for my kids, and did not use it again but maybe to take a couple more pictures of some chickens/ducks and had to replace them xmas eve as the battery meter said batteries were low and it kept turning off.

I sent the camera with my Aunt who works at the store where we bought it, she is going to exchange it for me for a new one same model.

So I did an online survey type thing asking about all the details I wanted in a camera, at the end they gave me a list of like 10 cameras that fit my wishes. The camera I have was #2 on the list!! Then I read the consumer reports article on digital camera's, they also talked and recommended my camera as the best pick for a SLR like feel and quality. They had 2 typos though lol, they called it the P712 it is the Z712 and they also said it was $420 and I didnt pay near that! As far as I know there is NOT a P series in Kodaks digital cameras Lol

I use Lithium batteries in mine and it last a long time. They cost more in the beginning but You can get a big pack of them at Sam's Club for about 20 dollars that should last a year. I have been using mine frequently for over a month and I haven't had to change the batteries yet.
