Dilemma....Help Please, Suspected Botulism

Okay, a little late getting her dose into her this morning, she's becoming a real scrapper now, lol. We found her sleeping on the bottom of the tote instead of the standing she was doing before and we are now seeing tail shaking as well. I think she may just pull out of this! Thank-you God!

Morning update: Bea is eating and drinking on her own. We took her out of the tote this morning and she is still unsteady on her feet and very deliberate with her steps, but still progress. Weight is 2.41lbs, so a little better than when she was first brought in. Will continue with the multi vitamins and I'm thinking another day at least of the meds. Thought I could stop but she isn't quite right and would rather be safe than sorry. I missed last night's dosing all together as I just couldn't make it to midnight. 4 doses so far and I will continue until improvement is complete or I hit the top time frame for dosing.

Can't believe I missed this excitement... so happy your duck is doing better. So scary. With the seizures, my guess would be that something toxic was ingested... but there are so many other bizarre symptoms. The standing makes me think foreign object? Be warned, my girl had seizures (we thought it was heat-related and the vet did not treat for poisoning) and seemed to get better, then died in my arms barely a week later. If she is well enough I would seriously recommend an x-ray just to be sure something nasty hasn't been swallowed. Also consider continuing the treatment for toxicity, just in case.

Could be the mushrooms, but check your property to be sure... my ducks will eat anything and so many plants are toxic. Mine had gotten into iris corms and jatropha seeds. Both deadly.
