They get huge, well tall. Not as heavy as Brahmas, but taller generally.

Agree on the Langshans. I'd been thinking Cochin from the straight comb and feathered feet, but that body shape says Langshan all the way. He's a beautiful boy

Pretty nice find for a feed store bird.

If the matching hen lays a white egg that would be Langshan or a dk brown egg a feather ftd Maran!! Wow what fun!!

Langshans lay a brown to dark brown egg. Sometimes with a plum tint to it.

Thanks for all the input. I have to say, I'm not familiar with that breed. Now I can't wait until she starts laying. Wonder how they got into the mix, I don't recall that breed being for sale there. Either way, definitely interesting and fun to watch.
