I got four bantam chicks yesterday that came in a little sickly, but seemed to be doing better this morning. I came in to check on them just now and one of them seems a little bit lethargic. I want to give it some nutridrench orally since it doesn't seem interested in drinking its water itself. However, I've heard that you shouldn't give anything directly into a chicks mouth, but I've seen people doing it. Wondering if it is okay to do or if there is a better way to do it?

Hold chick in your hand with beak facing into forfinger.. drip PND just below nostrils using your forefinger to help catch and direct the drop and beak together.. the chick will naturally gobble and swallow when it feel it roll around into the mouth.

Crush the feed a little extra fine.

I just drop any sort of liquids on the lower beak towards the tip (as the beak forms a little trough), and then let them lick/swallow it from there, rather than try to force it into the back of the throat.

Thank you! It worked and she started to perk up a bit but then she went downhill and we lost her last night 😢 I really appreciate your reply though, it was super helpful, and I'm sure it will continue to be!
