dirty butt

My hen, Lydia...you can see on Lydia's Swollen Hiney, has that problem with the really runny poo. I soaked her, fed yogurt and probiotics, trimmed her fluff, gave sul-met, wormed with Wazine, isolated her and a soft shelled egg finally came out while she was in the coop one day. This happened 2 days after a normal egg. Then the next day there was also a normal egg. I think her messy butt started due to a soft egg bursting inside her. Then I think there was an infection. She seemed pretty happy the whole time. But her behind was so red and swollen I posted for help...nobody responded...

Now her fluff is filling back in the bare area, but it is still red. I spray her with Vertrycin (sp) every evening. I am supposing this just might be the nature of a soft shell laying hen. She has choice of oyster shell, which she does eat. Her poo firmed up in the coop, but when I put her back with the others recently, who free range for hours, it became softer again. However, it is not soiling her fluff much. We live in Louisiana so we have marshy areas and no telling what kinds of microbes to dabble in, so I don't know what the real problem is, but she is still eating well, ranging and laying .

If anyone can give me any tips, I would really appreciate some input.

I don't own any chickens because you have to cut their heads off and I feel very sorry for them but hey if you wanna eat then you gotta do what you gotta do
