DISASTER!!!!!!!!!!1

Yeah, it might be a baby, but it could have done this easily. I saw another on my road this summer that was about the same size, but black too. I think they either vary a little or they might look darker from a little distance as opposed to this right up close looking just dark brown.

that looks like a ferret to me in a way and maybe they all look alike...1 down and many to go... thats what makes me mad out here in the country, people dont spay or neuter here and if they have a pet they just dump it and they dont care what kind of pet either...I am sure people dump all kinds of things they get tired of tending to...I have seen neighbors take their rabbits that have been in a cage all their lives and turn them loose in a pasture cause they were tired of taking care of them. Hope you get the little sucker before it tells all of its kin where a free luch is comming from...where there is 1 there is more

Just be sure to kill those if you can. They are so bad. I saw the one at the end of my road which is 2 miles and the one we hit was the other end about 4 miles. So i am in the middle and hope i dont get them here. I hope all the dogs around here keep them out.

Fisher cats are making a big resurgeance in New England..so I would presume that they'd start coming into other parts of the MidAtlantic states too.
sorry about your birds. That's tough for a little kid to deal with.
Britain has really tight gun laws. If I recall, even the bobbies aren't packing.

Minks, Skunks, Weasels, Wolverines, Stoats, Martens, and Ferrets are all members of the Mustelidae family.
I really hope you get him.

cheers guys...so if i put out one of those store bought traps is there a reasonable chance of catching the buggar? and then what how do i dipose of him/her? i feel like I should teach my boy a lesson and take the predator to an animal shelter for rehoming but dammit i want to kill it!

If it's a Ferret, you can try and find a home for it at a shelter because it's probably someone's lost pet, but all of the others would be toast...Call your local fish and game and see what they say.
