I am messing around with light configuations, and decided to try this absurd disco-LED light, plugged into the toggling on-off end of my incubator. The amazing thing is that it holds temperature so well that it almost never has to switch off when combined with the blue 25-watt bulb at the other end. I'm so tempted to do a hatch with it, but I don't want to do anything stupid (or cruel to baby chicks). Any thoughts?

Here's a video link to see it in action on YouTube. Still image is also attached, but doesn't do it justice.

[Note that it is currently running without water in there, so of course the humidity is low. Just cleaned it out and was screwing around.]

Thanks for any thoughts, even if your thoughts are that I'm weird.

Side note: I guess I insulated it a little better than before, because it also doesn't have to turn back on as quickly -- meaning it retains temperature better before dropping back down to the trigger temperature. So you might have to wait a moment if the light happens to be off when you view it on YouTube.
