Dixie Chicks

Afternoon! Busy day so far... Got up, took out the dogs, dig the chicken and bunny chores with Karin, then I went to help the neighbor a bit. He cut down a couple of huge birches a few weeks ago, and now he had rented a big shredder so 20-30 cubic yards of branches turned into 4 cubic yards of mulch. Then we turned the raised beds, added some compost, and covered them with black plastic to await warmer weather. Next I need to change tires on the Peugeot. Not looking forward to that... and in the evening I'm going to go out and eat with some friends.

On the Hilma front, it seems we were worried for no reason, she had been in the nest sometime during the night. So hope is still alive. According to literature, we should expect the bunnies to unearth themselves in a few days. We'll see.

Great weather here, and now Karin is calling my name, saying it's time to get back to work. I haven't even finished my cup of coffee...

so glad to hear Wilma went into the nest overnight. I was worried about those babies!
